How to connect
Connecting BoondManager takes two sides: a BoondManager administrator installs the Allo app from the BoondManager Marketplace, then you connect it from Allo. Before you start:- You need a BoondManager Administrator account to install the Allo app.
- Every BoondManager manager who uses Allo must be granted access to the Allo app in BoondManager.
- Only admins and managers of an Allo workspace can connect integrations.
1
Install the Allo app in BoondManager
A BoondManager administrator goes to Administration > Apps / Marketplace > Marketplace tab, opens Allo, clicks Install, then confirms.
2
Give your managers access to Allo
In BoondManager, go to Administration > Managers/Roles and enable Allo in the Apps section for each manager who uses Allo.
3
Connect BoondManager in Allo
Back in Allo, click Connect on the BoondManager integration. You’re redirected to BoondManager: sign in if needed, then authorize Allo.
4
Choose your sync settings
Once authorized, you’re redirected back to Allo. Review the sync settings for BoondManager and save. Your integration is now active.
What syncs
From BoondManager to Allo:- CRM contacts
- Candidates
- Resources
- Companies
How calls are synced
After each call, Allo creates an action on the matching contact, candidate or resource in BoondManager. Allo looks for the phone number in CRM contacts first, then candidates, then resources. Companies can’t receive an action. The action details contain:- The call direction and status (for example outgoing, answered)
- The duration (answered calls only), the numbers involved, the Allo user and the call tags
- The call summary
- A link to listen to the recording in Allo, when the call was recorded
Which action type and manager Allo uses
Allo reads the action types from your own BoondManager settings, separately for contacts, candidates and resources. Allo picks the type whose name refers to calls, such as Appel, Appel téléphonique, Prospection téléphonique or Call. Disabled types and types such as Rappel or Appel d’offres are never used. If no action type matches, the call is not synced. To use a specific action type, contact Allo support. The action is assigned to the BoondManager manager whose email address matches the Allo user who made or took the call. If no manager matches, BoondManager assigns the action to the account that connected Allo. How SMS are synced
Each SMS, sent or received, becomes its own action on the matching contact, candidate or resource in BoondManager. The action contains the date and time, the direction, the Allo user and the message text. Allo uses an action type named SMS, Texto, Message texte or Text message if one exists in your BoondManager settings. Otherwise, SMS use the same action type as calls. The manager is chosen the same way as for calls.Click-to-call
There is no Allo dialer inside BoondManager. To call a number from BoondManager, use one of these:- Allo desktop app: click a phone number in BoondManager to start the call in the Allo desktop app. The first time, your browser asks you to allow Allo to open.
- Allo Chrome extension: the Chrome extension adds a call icon next to phone numbers on BoondManager pages.
Troubleshooting
Check the sync status of any call from the call list on web.withallo.com. Each call has an integration indicator showing its sync state.I cannot connect my integration
I cannot connect my integration
Only admins and managers of an Allo workspace can connect integrations. If you don’t see the option, ask your workspace admin or manager to set it up.If BoondManager refuses the connection or shows an unauthorized error, check these two points with your BoondManager administrator:
- The Allo app is not installed: install Allo from Administration > Apps / Marketplace, then click Connect again.
- Your manager account has no access to Allo: enable Allo for your account in Administration > Managers/Roles > Apps, then click Connect again.
Call not synced to my integration
Call not synced to my integration
Check the integration indicator on the call in the web app. The error will be one of these:
- Contact not found: no contact, candidate or resource in BoondManager has this phone number. By default, Allo only syncs calls to existing contacts. To auto-create contacts, go to your integration settings and enable Create lead for unknown calls. BoondManager requires every CRM contact to belong to a company, so contact Allo support to choose the company new contacts are added to before you enable this setting.
- Contact deleted: the contact was removed from your CRM. Allo is additive and won’t sync calls for deleted contacts. Re-create the contact in your CRM, then retry the sync.
- Integration disconnected: your OAuth token was revoked on the BoondManager side, or the Allo app was uninstalled in BoondManager. Disconnect and reconnect the integration in Allo.
- Call pending (spinner icon): Allo is still matching the contact. This can take up to 24 hours before being marked as an error. Once the contact exists in your CRM, you can retry manually.
- Contact is a favorite: by default, calls with a favorite contact are not synced to your CRM. Remove the contact from your favorites if you want these calls to sync.
Contacts not syncing
Contacts not syncing
The first sync can take up to 15 minutes for large contact databases. After that, contacts sync incrementally every 10 minutes, not in real time.Allo only syncs contacts that have at least one phone number in a native phone number field. Contacts without a phone number will not appear in Allo.If contacts still don’t appear after 15 minutes, disconnect and reconnect the integration.
SMS not synced
SMS not synced
Check the integration indicator on the SMS in the web app. The causes are the same as for calls: no contact, candidate or resource in BoondManager has this phone number, the integration is disconnected, or no action type for calls or SMS was found in BoondManager.
Duplicate contacts
Duplicate contacts
Allo mirrors your integration exactly. If your CRM has duplicate contacts with the same phone number, they appear as separate contacts in Allo.Clean up duplicates in your CRM. Allo will reflect the change on the next sync.
Call synced to the wrong contact
Call synced to the wrong contact
When multiple contacts share the same phone number, Allo syncs the call to all matching contacts. Before reporting a missing sync, check all contacts that share that phone number, because the call may already be synced to another one. Click the integration indicator on any call in the web app to see exactly which contacts it was synced to.
