Setup
Get your folk API key

Log into folk
Go to app.folk.app

Navigate to API settings
Click Settings > API

Create new API key
Click New API key and name it “Allo” (or any name you prefer)

Copy the key
Click Create key and copy it immediately.
Connect in Allo

Open Allo app
Launch Allo on mobile or desktop

Go to Integrations
Navigate to Settings > Integrations

Find folk
Locate folk in the integrations list and tap Connect

Paste your API key
Enter the API key you copied from folk

Save and connect
Tap Save & Connect and wait for confirmation
When you connect folk, all your contacts are imported into Allo automatically. You can call them directly from the app.

Common causes:
- Incorrect API key
- Extra spaces when copying key
- Inactive folk account
- Verify you copied the entire key correctly
- Remove any extra spaces
- Confirm your folk account is active

- Contact exists in your folk database
- Internet connection is stable during calls

If you need to generate a new API key or reconnect:
- Go to Settings > Integrations > folk
- Tap Disconnect
- Generate a new API key in folk
- Follow the connection steps again
Manage your integration

To disconnect the integration:- Open Allo app
- Go to Settings > Integrations
- Select folk
- Tap Disconnect
Reconnect with new API key
If you need to rotate your API key:- Disconnect the current integration in Allo
- Generate a new API key in folk
- Follow the setup steps to reconnect
