What credits pay for
Credits never pay for:
- Calls to numbers in your country, included in your plan
- Calls and texts you receive, free on every plan
- A text that fails to reach the network
How credits are added to your balance
Your Available balance is everything your team can spend right now: what is left of your monthly credits, plus your one-time credits.
Allo always spends your monthly credits first. One-time credits only start to go down once the monthly credits for that period are used up.
The Voice & text balance section shows how much of your monthly credits you have used, for example $3.41 of $5 monthly credits used, with the dates of the current period and when it resets.
How to add one-time credits
1
Go to Settings > Billing
Open Settings, then Billing, and find the Voice & text balance section.
2
Select Add one-time credits
Under One-time credits, select Add one-time credits and follow the steps.
How to turn on auto top-up
Auto top-up adds credits automatically when your balance runs low, so calls and messages never stop.1
Go to Settings > Billing
Open Settings, then Billing, and find the Voice & text balance section.
2
Select Enable next to Auto top-up
While auto top-up is off, the section shows Disabled next to its name.
How to raise your monthly credits
If your team regularly uses more than its monthly credits, ask for a credit package. Allo support adds the package to your subscription, and your monthly credits go up every month from then on. Contact support to request a credit package. What happens when the balance reaches zero
When your Available balance reaches zero, the team owner will receive an email notice, and everything that uses credits stops:- Texts that cost credits do not go out, and nothing is charged for them.
- Calls to paid international destinations stop. A call already in progress ends.
How to see what your credits were spent on
In Settings > Billing, select View usage in the Voice & text balance section. The Usage page shows what your team spent, with a Date range filter and a filter for your numbers. It has 3 tabs.
To check what a destination costs before you call, select View rates in the Voice & text balance section. The rates for every country are also public on rates.withallo.com.
