Done
Allo reads your Cal.com profile, calendars, and event types. Your calendar now appears in the connected list.
What your AI receptionist books
Cal.com organizes your calendar around event types, like “30 minute call” or “Product demo”, not open calendar slots. Once connected, your AI receptionist books into one of your existing event types. It never creates a new one. You can offer more than one event type on the same call, up to 20. Each one can carry a short note, for example “when the caller wants a demo”, that tells the agent when to use it. Without a note, the agent falls back to the event type’s title.Who can connect and choose a calendar
Any team member can connect their own Cal.com account. Once connected, it’s visible to the whole workspace as an option for any agent. Choosing which connected calendar an agent books into is more restricted. Admins and managers can assign any connected calendar to an agent, including a teammate’s, and configure its event types themselves. A regular team member can only assign their own calendar, or a teammate’s calendar once that teammate has already set up its event types. Allo blocks the pick otherwise, and points to the calendar’s owner to configure it first.Booking rules and blocked dates
Each connected Cal.com calendar has its own business hours, timezone, and blocked dates, set on its integration page in Allo. Booking rules control when the agent can use them:- Buffer between meetings: on by default, 30 minutes.
- Respect business hours: on by default.
- Advance notice: on by default, 2 hours minimum before a meeting can be booked.
- Booking window: off by default. Turn it on to cap how far out callers can book, 60 days by default.
Troubleshooting
The agent booked the wrong meeting type
The agent booked the wrong meeting type
Check that an event type is selected in the agent’s calendar settings. Without one, Allo defaults to the first event type in your Cal.com account, which could be a test or unused one.
I can't select a teammate's calendar
I can't select a teammate's calendar
You can only pick a teammate’s calendar once they’ve configured at least one event type on it. Ask them to set it up in Allo, or ask an admin or manager to configure it for them.
I can't disconnect a calendar
